Instructional Flex

updates

updates

Starting January 12th we will be implementing a new tool for Instructional Flex called Student Support Time. Student Support Time is a web-based application that allows students to sign-up for academic interventions and supports with any of their academic teachers. Students can access Student Support Time directly through Classlink, and will be trained on January 10th during Instructional Flex. We are excited to implement a tool that will provide support for teachers and students in scheduling academic interventions and supports.

South Forsyth High School will hold mock interviews Tuesday, March 5th through Friday, March 8th. All students in a third-year career pathway course as well as our Internship Forsyth students are required to participate in a mock interview. Our hope is to provide students with an authentic interview experience. To make this happen, we need a large number and variety of professionals conducting the interviews. You may register to volunteer Here. Please feel free to forward this link to your business colleagues. To get an idea of the volunteer experience, please view our volunteer orientation video: CTAE Mock Interview Volunteer Orientation - YouTube.

Mid-Year Reports & Transcripts for Seniors

Mid-Year Reports & Transcripts for Seniors

Many colleges require school counselors to submit a Mid-Year Report in Common App. The Mid-Year Report includes your updated high school transcript and your Semester 1 Report Card. In order for your school counselor to complete this required task, you must request a mid-year transcript to be sent to Common App via Parchment!

Please note:

1. You need to select "HOLD FOR GRADES" so your mid-year transcript does not get sent until AFTER all final grades from Semester 1 have been posted to transcripts AND your Semester 2 schedule is set.

2. Mid-Year Reports are generally not ready to be sent until end of January, so please be patient! Colleges understand that high schools across the nation end Semester 1 at different times, and there is a process for loading grades and credits before transcripts are ready to be sent.
